the women do the asking out themselves. In a recent
interview with Encomium Magazine, Omobaba said
women mananize him when asked how he copes with
female fans…
“I have been coping, I respect my female fans.
But coping with female fans I don’t ask them

Cossy Orjiakor insures boobs for N256million
According to a report by Vanguard, actress/singer Cossy Orjiakor has insured her boobs for N256k.
The actress was reported to have agreed to a deal to insure her bloated mammary glands for a whooping $1.6million amounting to N256million.
The deal according to source, was introduced to her by an American friend who also dragged Enhanced Silicon Inc. responsible for insuring breasts of famous foreign celebrities into the deal. The company, which insured the bosóms of Pamela Anderson and Dolly Parton agreed to the deal just before Cossy’s recent birthday bash, where she displayed her endowments for the world to see. The booby actress will be travelling to Los Angeles in two weeks to sign on the dotted lines. “I specifically asked for $1.6 million,” Cossy was quoted as saying.Lol. Who believes this?

Members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities have given the Federal Government certain conditions to be met before the union could call off its four-month old strike.
Part of this condition, FB learnt, is that all federal parastatals in charge of fund, labour, and education must sign the agreement purportedly reached between its leadership and the Federal Government on Tuesday.
A prominent member of the union, who craved anonymity because he was not authorised to speak on behalf of the union, told FB that doing this would give the association the confidence that “the Federal Government knows what it is doing when it signed the agreement.”
He said, “I must tell you that our mandate remains. The only mandate we have is that 2009 agreement must be met. We have not reached any agreement with the Federal Government.
“Since the Federal Government wants to be releasing N220bn every year for five years, then all monetary and regulatory agencies must sign. The Central Bank of Nigeria, Ministries of Finance and Labour, National Assembly, Office of the Presidency, National Universities Commission, Tertiary Education Trust Fund, Trade Union Congress and our umbrella body, the Nigeria Labour Congress, must sign with consequences stated.
“The reason we will ensure this is that we don’t want argument tomorrow that the agreement was entered in error or that they don’t know the implication of signing the agreement. If possible, documents that will provide for automatic deduction of the agreed money at a particular/agreed date must be provided.”
The leadership of the union had engaged in a 13-hour marathon meeting with government delegation led by President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja between Monday and Tuesday.
Though it was generally perceived that both ASUU and the Federal Government achieved breakthrough in negotiation for the first time after the lengthy meeting with the President, FB learnt that the lecturers might not be in a hurry to go back to class.
Another source close to ASUU who was also part of the marathon meeting with the President in Abuja, said there was nothing new in what the President promised members of the union.
El-Rufai calls President Jonathan lazy, docile, hopeless, useless

I'm not particularly a fan of President Jonathan and this government but c'mon Mallam El Rufai, that name calling is too harsh and uncalled for. Well, that's what I think, you're free to agree with him. Presidential aide Reno Omokri already replied..

ASUU strike: UNIABUJA student attempts suicide, says it was a better option
The ongoing strike of the Academic
Staff Union of Universities, ASUU took
a different turn on Saturday at the
Dutse-Alhaji area of Abuja when a
female student of the University of
Abuja made to hang herself in protest of
the nearly four months old strike.
The female student identified as Jane
Okoro had already hanged herself, but
fell off the ceiling while struggling,
apparently because the rope she used
was not strong enough.
Jane had sent her two younger brothers
on an errand, just a way of sending them
out of the house to be able to carry out
the abominable act, but one of the
brothers returned after 15 minutes and
saw her on the floor with a rope tied
round her neck while another rope
dangled from the ceiling fan. The 15
year old boy raised the alarm, thinking
that his sister was dead, attracting
neighbours and other onlookers into their
compound. However, it was discovered
by those who got there first, that Jane
was alive as it was only a suicide
attempt.
The boy, who was identified as Andrew
had told our correspondent that the
sister was behaving so strange
throughout that morning. He said, ” She
was to go to the market with my mum,
but said she was not feeling too well.
While we were at home with her, she
refused to talk. She was always on her
Blackberry. Shortly after she had her
bath, she sent us to First-Gate (market),
but I left some money I wanted to use to
buy my personal stuff at home, so upon
return, I saw her on the floor of our
parlour. I even thought she was dead, so
I shouted.”
Meanwhile, the mother
who returned from the
market immediately after the news got
to her had told our correspondent in
tears that, her daughter must have
attempted to commit suicide because of
the ongoing ASUU strike. She said, I
will ask her questions on why she wanted
to do this to us. She has been
complaining to me about this ASUU
strike. She said, at her age, she should
have been done with school, and begin to
take care of the children and I. Her
father is late. I know that only this
week, she had complained to me up to 6
times on how frustrating this strike has
been. I know other things may have
contributed, but ASUU strike may have
contributed the most; but for whatever
reason, it was devilish for my daughter
to have attempted suicide.” She said.
Asked what she was going to do about
the situation, she said ” I will take her to
my Pastor this evening. She needs
prayers. We need somebody to talk to
her. God will do the miracle for me. I
didn’t do anything to anybody. I must not
suffer for nothing. She is already in her
third year in school. What would I have
done if this had happened?”
Attempt to speak with Jane failed as she
could not respond to questions from our
correspondent. The only statement she
muttered was ” It was a better option”.
The mother had later asked our
correspondent to leave her to rest. She
said ” she will talk to you after we see
our Pastor. She will give the testimony
herself.”
However, a female friend of Jane who
had pleaded not to be mentioned showed
our correspondent her recent
conversation with Jane on her
Blackberry. She said ” my last chat with
her was on this very ASUU strike. See
what she posted, ” I tire for these
ASUU peopleoooo” She showed our
correspondent the chat.

"My Dream is to Establish a Church" -Beverly Osu
In a recent interview with PUNCH, video
vixen and one of the finalists at the
recently concluded Big Brother Africa
game, Beverly Osu, disclosed that she
plans to establish a church.
“I attended Daughters of Divine Love
Convent, Enugu State. I thought I would
be a reverend sister but I abandoned
the vision when I dropped out in my
fifth year. I finished my secondary
education in a secular institution before
moving to Babcock University. I could
not finish from Babcock because I had
some personal issues.
Again, I dropped and
enrolled at the
National Open
University..It affected me in a very
spiritual way. In as much as I know
worldly things, I still fear God and have
faith in Him.
The reason why I wanted to become a
nun was because I was raised in a
Catholic home. I just felt it was the
best thing for me to do at that time. I
used to see myself as a messenger of
God. Even though I did not become a
nun, I still remain faithful to God. Part
of my dreams is to establish a church
and do a lot of charity work”

Pilots Were Arguing Before Agagu's Plane Crashed - Blackbox
Agagu's Plane Crashed - Blackbox
There appeared to be an argument between
the Captain and the First Officer of the
Associated Airline aircraft which crashed on
3 October in Lagos Nigeria and killed 15
people, the aircraft’s black box has revealed.
The readout of the black box ,also known as
Cockpit Voice Recorder, CVR, conducted by
Nigeria’s Accident Investigation Bureau, AIB,
in its Abuja’s laboratory revealed that the
computer onboard the plane sent a warning
message to the Captain, Yakubu Abdulrahman,
shortly before take-off but he ignored it.
The First Officer then suggested to the pilot
to abort take-off but Yakubu Abdulrahman
proceeded and took off.
“The First Officer asked if the take-off
should be aborted approximately 12 seconds
after the ‘eight knots’ callout,” said Captain
Mukhtar Usman, Commissioner Accident
Investigation Bureau,AIB.
AIB said the pilot and the co-pilot discussed
some concerns about the aircraft prior to
departure.
“The crew discussed some concerns about the
aircraft prior to departure but at this time
we are not prepared to elaborate on those
concerns as there remains a lot of work to do
to complete on the CVR analysis in order to
determine the specific nature of the crew’s
concerns,” said AIB Commissioner, Muktar
Usman.
Usman said approximately four seconds after
engine power was advanced to commence the
take-off roll, the crew received an automated
warning from the onboard computer voice
which consisted of three chimes followed by
“take-off flaps…take-off flaps.
“This is a configuration warning that suggests
that the flaps were not in correct position for
take-off. And there is some evidence that the
crew may have chosen not to use the flap for
take-off,” Usman said.
“This warning continued throughout the take-
off roll,” Usman added.
“Approximately three seconds after ‘power is
set’ call, the First Officer noted that the
aircraft was moving slowly.
“At this time we can state that the Right
engine appeared to be producing considerably
less thrust than the left engine. The left
engine appeared to be working normally,”
Usman said.
US Army plans ‘Iron Man’ armor for soldiers
US Army
researchers are working on building hi-tech
body armor that would give soldiers
“superhuman strength” in a real-life version of
the suit featured in “Iron Man” films.
The blueprint for the “revolutionary” Tactical
Assault Light Operator Suit (TALOS) would
include an exoskeleton to allow a soldier to
carry heavy equipment, built-in computing
power, beefed up protection to stop bullets
and a system to monitor vital signs, officials
said.
“Some of the potential technologies planned
for TALOS research and development include
advanced armor, situational awareness,
command and control computers, power
management systems, and enhanced mobility
exoskeletons,” according to a US Army
statement issued last month.
US Special Operations Command, which
oversees elite Navy SEAL and Army Ranger
commandos, put out the call last month for
research papers on potential technologies that
a “smart” combat suit could incorporate.
The request for “white papers” will extend
through September 2014, and then
commanders and defense officials will weigh
how to proceed while taking into account
growing pressures on the Pentagon budget, said
spokesman Roger Teel of the Army’s Research,
Development and Engineering Command, or
RDECOM.
The new combat armor might also employ
“liquid armor,” reminiscent of the
“Terminator” films, though the technology is
still in an early stage of development, Teel
told AFP.
The liquid would transform into a solid if a
magnetic or electrical charge was applied.
“There is a liquid armor that they are looking
at developing,” said Teel, adding that scientists
at MIT were studying the idea. “It could
possibly be turned on with a battery switch”
to deflect gunfire, he said.
TALOS “is an advanced infantry uniform that
promises to provide superhuman strength with
greater ballistic protection,” according to an
earlier statement from RDECOM.
In a crude animated demonstration video
released by the army on how the combat suit
might operate, a soldier in science fiction-
inspired gear stands in a doorway as bullets
bounce off at close range from an unidentified
enemy.
While ominous music plays in the background,
the words “to be continued…” flash upon the
screen.
The project’s acronym, TALOS, refers to the
automaton of Greek mythology made of bronze
that Zeus deploys to safeguard his lover
Europa.
Despite previous weapons programs that came
to little, officials say the technologies for the
ambitious project are not out of reach, even if
they sound more like the stuff of myth or
movie.
The concept of providing virtual displays of
battlefield forces in a soldier’s helmet screen
resembles similar efforts already underway
for a sophisticated helmet for pilots flying the
new F-35 fighter jet.
Reflecting advances in robotics and computing
power, the TALOS suit is part of a trend in
current research focusing on what defense
industry experts call “man-machine interface,”
aiming to dramatically increase the
capabilities of a single soldier.
Officials said the TALOS project is the
brainchild of Admiral William McRaven, head
of special operations command, who rose to
prominence presiding over the Navy SEAL
raid that killed Al-Qaeda mastermind Osama
bin Laden.
“I’m very committed to this,” McRaven told an
industry conference in July. “I’d like that last
operator that we lost to be the last operator
we lose in this fight or the fight of the future,
and I think we can get there.”
As the proposed suit would draw on a range of
technical disciplines, the military expects the
project to be developed jointly by academia,
government scientists and technology firms,
officials said.
Special Operations command is “interested in
receiving white papers from a wide variety of
sources, not just traditional military industry
but also from academia, entrepreneurs and
laboratories capable of providing the design,
construction and testing of TALOS related
technologies,” said James Geurts, acquisition
executive for the command.
And officials said it was too early to offer
any cost estimate.
Although defense officials acknowledge the
project evokes comparisons to Tony Stark’s
superhero suit from the “Iron Man” movies,
they note that no one is claiming the smart
armor will enable soldiers to soar like a plane
over cities.
“It’s not going to fly. It’s not going to be all
that,” Teel said. “But it’s going to be special.”

SSANU suspends strike, asks members to return duties
The Senior Staff Association of
Nigerian Universities (SSANU) has announced
the suspension of its week-long strike.
The suspension of the strike is contained in a
statement issued in Abuja on Friday and
signed by the association’s National Secretary,
Mr Promise Adewusi.
It said that the decision to suspend the strike
was informed by the Federal Government’s
compliance with the association’s demands.
“Following substantial compliance to our
demand for the payment of August and
September salaries of our members which is
the reason for our current national strike
action, we hereby suspend the strike and
direct all our members to return to their
duties with effect from Monday, the 14th of
October, 2013.”
The statement thanked members of the
association for their solidarity, adding that
the non payment of the salaries of its
members for work done would not happen
again. (NAN)

According to new reports, former Niger Delta militant and current leader of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force, Asari Dokubo, is now a proud owner of a university in Benin Republic...
The leader of the Niger Delta People’s
Volunteer Force, NDPVF, Muhajid Asari-
Dokubo has joined the swelling rank of
private university proprietors with his
establishment of a university in the
neighbouring Republic of Benin.
Mr. Asari-Dokubo, who already owns a
soccer academy in the West African
country and another one in Abuja, said
the university, which will be known as
King Amachree African University,
KAAU, had already been accredited to
commence degree programmes beginning
September 2014.
He told PREMIUM TIMES in an interview in
Abuja that the proposed university, named
after his ancestor, was a product of his two
existing institutions in Benin Republic, namely
King Amachree Automobile/ICT Royal
Academy and King Amachree Arts Academy.
Both of them, he added, currently award
Diploma to their students.
Mr. Asari-Dokubo said he chose to establish
the institutions in Benin Republic because he
does not only live there, but has adopted it as
his country.
“What we have now, we are awarding only
diploma now. “By next September, Insha
Allah, the university will start,” Mr. Asari-
Dokubo, who dropped out of University of
Calabar, he said.
“For now we have King Amachree Automobile/
ICT Royal Academy and King Amachree Arts
Academy. Two of them were merged. We have
merged the two of them into king Amachree
African University.
“King Amachree is my great ancestor. He was
king of the Kingdom of new Calabar.”
On his soccer academy, the 50 year old Mr.
Asari-Dokubo, an indigene of Rivers State,
who refused to be tagged a former militant,
said it was established to train the youth in
soccer free of charge.
“We plan to engage the youths. It is free. We
have a soccer academy in Abuja and we have
another one in Republic of Benin,” he said.
More Nigerians are forced to go to Benin
Republic, Ghana, Togo and other neigbhouring
countries to acquire education due to the
incessant labour disputes and industrial
actions within the Nigerian university system
as well as the deplorable state of education in
the country.
Currently, students of both the federal and
state universities in Nigeria are at home due
to the strike embarked upon by the Academic
Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, over the
refusal of the Federal Government to honour
its 2009 agreement with the union.
Other unions within the education sector,
including the Senior Staff Association of
Nigerian Universities, SSANU, have also
embarked on solidarity strike while the
Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT, and Non-
Academic Staff Union, NASU, are reportedly
on the verge of doing towing that path.
Students of the over 50 private universities
in Nigeria, whose fees can only be afforded
the rich, are however, in session.
Mr. Asari-Dokubo is, like former Niger Delta
militants enjoying massive patronage from the
current administration, believe to be very
wealthy but his source of income is largely
unknown.
There were speculation he made his fortune
stealing crude oil in the Niger Delta. But he
denied engaging in such practices, telling
PREMIUM TIMES he had never been part of
any act capable of endangering the Delta.
Lukaku double sends Belgium to World Cup
On-loan Everton
striker Romelu Lukaku
scored two first-half
goals as Belgium beat
Croatia 2-1 to became
the third European
team to reach the
World Cup finals on
Friday.
Belgium, who last made the global showpiece in
2002, topped Group A thanks to their
impressive win in Zagreb and join Italy and
the Netherlands in Brazil next summer.
Lukaku opened the scoring in the 16th minute
when Steven Defour dispossessed Ivan Perisic.
Defour found Lukaku who then rounded
goalkeeper Stipe Pletikosa to score.
Lukaku made it 2-0 after 38 minutes despite
Letikosa saving his first attempt.
Croatia substitute Niko Kranjcar beat
Thibaut Courtois in the Belgian goal with six
minutes left but the home side couldn't find
another goal and must now hope to make the
finals via the play-offs.
In other early matches on Friday, Bulgaria's
hopes of finishing runners-up to Italy in
Group B suffered a setback when they lost
2-1 to Armenia in Yerevan.
Denmark, who host Italy later Friday, while
the Czech Republic, at Malta, saw their hopes
of taking second spot boosted by Bulgaria's
defeat.
Later Friday, three-time champions Germany
need just a point against the Republic of
Ireland in Cologne to reach the finals.
Joachim Loew's side have a five-point lead
over Sweden in Group C having won seven of
their eight qualifiers so far.
Switzerland, who famously defeated Spain in
the group stages of the 2010 finals in South
Africa, can make sure of their place in Brazil
when they face Albania in Tirana.
The Swiss have a five-point lead in Group E
over Iceland, as well as a vastly superior goal
difference, with two matches left.
Russia were beaten by Slovenia in the play-
offs for the 2010 tournament, but they lead
Group F by a point from Portugal.
Fabio Capello's Russia go to Luxembourg
where a victory will put the pressure on
Portugal to get all three points at home to
Israel to avoid the play-off lottery.
England are in the driving seat in Group H,
leading Ukraine and Montenegro by a point.
Roy Hodgson's England face Montenegro at
Wembley while Ukraine, unbeaten for a year,
host Poland who are not out of contention.
In Group G, Bosnia-Herzegovina, who have
never made a major finals, lead Greece on goal
difference having hit 25 goals so far.
They welcome whipping boys Liechtenstein
while Greece host Slovakia.
Defending champions Spain are locked on 14
points with France in Group I but have a game
in hand.
That match sees them face Belarus in
Mallorca where a win combined with a draw
against Georgia next Tuesday will be enough
for Vicente del Bosque's men.
The nine group winners all qualify for the
2014 finals while the eight best runners-u
Must A Woman Marry?
Some ladies are still single by choice and not
because they cannot find husbands,some
decide to even go a step further to become
baby mama's and that does not make them less
of a human being. Some are happy just dating
and cannot stand the stress of marriage.
Surprised?Yes,as sweet as marriage is,it
comes with a double edged sword and if you do
not use the wisdom of Solomon to operate,it
falls apart like a pack of cards.
Yes,because of this some women choose not to
go in at all...Some are desperately looking for
husbands but they cannot find anywhere,The
responsible and single men have all
vanished..lol
Whilst some married women keep preaching to
single ladies to go and find their own
husbands, the single ladies school of thought is
that they must not marry and it will happen in
God's time.....fine.
Some women are in their fifties and still
searching, some are in their twenties and are
not even looking..call it different strokes for
different folks.....abi?
Now my question is....Where exactly is it
stated that A WOMAN MUST get married to
be happy?

Nollywood veteran actor Pa Kasumu is presently fighting for his life as he's currently battling heart and liver diseases. He's been in and out of hospital since 2009 and is in dire need of N12millon to solve his heath issues. He told Goldmyne TV: "Ever since this started, none of my colleagues have shown up. Only myself, my son, my sister...just my family. Sad! Please if you'd like to make a donation to him, find the account details below... Olukayode Olugbenga Odumosu. Diamond Bank. 0036059543. 'I'd love to have Genevieve as my wife' - D'banj says in new interview D'banj told me something so sweet in confidence about Genevieve, but nah, sorry I can't spill... hehe. It's nice to hear him say he would love to marry her. I wish he'd just stop saying it and just do it. He granted an interview to reporters on Wednesday which was published in Punch today where he talked about his career and his relationship with Genevieve. And guys, please stop all this 'it's just a publicity stunt' It wasn't. They didn't just date, they were madly in love. Read the interview below. Singer, Dapo Oyebanji, aka D’banj, finally opened up on his love life in a rare meeting with journalists in Lagos on Wednesday. The self-styled Kokomaster was clearly in his elements as he talked at length, amid occasional bouts of laughter, about his career and other issues that were important to him. One of the subjects was about his rumoured relationship with Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji. Judging by the manner in which the actress’ name kept popping off his lips, it was obvious that D’banj had a very soft spot for her. Aware that the grapevine had bristled with the rumour that he was romantically involved with Genevieve, ever since she appeared in the 2010 video of his hit song, ‘Fall in Love’, the singer said the actress had played a role in his success. “Apart from the fact that she is my friend, she has been a part of my success. There is no way you are going to tell my story that Genevieve’s name will not come up because she featured in my biggest song of all time, Fall in Love. So if E True Story comes to Nigeria to interview me, she will definitely be called upon to tell my story,” he said. As if to confirm that there was more to his relationship with the actress than he had always admitted, D’banj added, “I would love to have Genevieve as my wife. We never can tell what God plans for us in the future. I have studied her and I realised that anyone that has her as his woman has found himself a treasure. Just like the Bible says, any man who finds a wife, finds a good thing.” On remaining relevant, he said: “So much has happened in the last 18 months and I am very thankful to God. By the Grace of God, I have remained relevant for nearly a decade in the music industry and I have released hit songs every year. Also, I am glad that I have been chosen to headline the Hennessy Artistry this year. This is one brand that understands the importance of aligning with the entertainment industry. “My career is barely 10 years old. But with the success I have achieved so far, it feels like three decades already. Within my first 10 years as a musician, I have recorded the biggest song and shot the most viewed music video of all time, ‘Oliver Twist’. I must say I am humbled and getting ready to take over,” he said. Without mincing words, D’banj noted that the history of his career and the resulting accomplishments will be incomplete without mentioning his humble beginning with the defunct Mo’Hits Records. The mere mention of his erstwhile colleagues, including Don Jazzy, seemed to awaken nostalgic feelings in him. “If I say I don’t miss Don Jazzy, I am lying. I have spent the better part of my career with him. I was married to him in a way (laughs). So I miss everything about Mo’Hits: the family, the movement, and the vibe of being in the studio with him. I miss the jokes and the arguments, but I have since keyed into the notion that nothing can stop a moving train. “Nevertheless we can always do music together. The track, ‘Top of the World’ was produced by a Grammy Award Winner. The songs ‘Finally’ and ‘Don’t Tell Me Nonsense’ was produced by my producer while ‘Oliver Twist’ was produced by Don Jazzy. So, why won’t I have him on my 10 years anniversary album? “I have never said I am a musician; I am an entertainer. Some people say I can pick up a microphone and become a comedian. Therefore nobody should come and ask if I want to go into acting because they should know I am already an actor. It depends on when the right script and concept lands in my hands. “For now, I am concerned about achieving new things and breaking new grounds. By the time I enter Hollywood, I believe that I’ll become as successful as I have been as a singer. The movie titled ‘I am Banga Lee’, starring Genevieve, to be released in 2014, won’t be a bad idea,” He said. Source: Punchng.com
